Information we collect

We collect information to provide better Services to all of our users. We collect information in the following ways:

Information you give us

Our Services requires you to sign up for an account and we’ll ask for certain personal information. Also, every time a customer signs in to our Services, we will ask for your account information.

This information includes:

  • User IDs and passwords. Provides visitors with access to their profile areas and to protected content.

  • Account information for registration. Our Services’s registration system requires users to give us contact information such as their name and e-mail address. The customer's contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may choose (opt-out) to receive future mailings. Demographic and profile data are also collected by our Services. We use this data to tailor the visitor's experience at our web site, showing the visitor content that reflects their stated preferences.

  • Customer feedback and support. Provides a mechanism for requesting information from Dreamaker. Also used to tell us how we can improve our products, Services and site designs.

  • Email correspondence. Used to raise and respond to issues and inquiries of all types. Also used to distribute information about Dreamaker, our products, and Services.

  • Transactions. Shows which products and Services the visitor has requested.

Information we collect

We collect information about the functionalities that you use and how you use them, like when you watch a video, visit a page or add a comment. This information includes:

  • Device information. We collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers).

  • Log information. When you use our Services or view content provided by Dreamaker, we automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This includes:

  • details of how you used our service, such as your search queries, pages you visit, time spent on those pages, access times and dates and other statistics.

    • Internet protocol address.
    • device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, referral URL, agent version, platform, SDK version, API key for the App, App version, subscription and plan information, mobile device model, manufacturer and version, access times and dates, time zones and network status.

  • Location information. We may collect and process information about your actual location. We use various technologies to determine location, including IP address.

  • Local storage. We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage and application data caches.

The Services use third-party services provided by Intercom. (“Intercom”) to enable our Support and Help Center. Based on your email addresses input into the Services, Intercom may provide publicly-available information about you including without limitation social media information, profile information, gender, company, job titles, photos, physical addresses, and website URLs ("Customer Data"). We use this information to communicate with you in a more effective and customized manner. Intercom uses Customer Data as described in its privacy policy.

  • Third party platforms. We may collect information when you interact with our advertisements and other content on third-party sites or platforms, such as social networking sites. This may include information such as “Likes”, profile information gathered from social networking sites or the fact that you viewed or interacted with our content.

  • Other information. We may collect other information from you that is not specifically listed here. We may use any such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise permitted by you.

How and why we use your information

We may use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • Honoring our contractual commitments to you. Much of our processing of information we collect is to meet our contractual obligations to our users, or to take steps at users’ request in anticipation of entering into a contract with them. For example, we handle personal data on this basis to create your account and provide our Services.

  • Services functionality. To monitor and analyze use in order to increase our Service’s functionality and user-friendliness; and to tailor our Service to you. For example, by recalling your preferences when using the Service.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, trade, share or transfer your personal information to third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Payment processing. We share your Payment Information to process your payments.

  • Data analytics and enrichment services. As part of our use of third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics and data enrichment services like Heap, we share certain de-identified data as needed.

  • Consent. We may share your personal information with a third party if we have your consent to do so.

  • Your collaborators. We share your name, email address and location with people you invite to collaborate in your projects or with whom you share media to let them know who has invited them.

  • Legal requirements.   • Security requirements. We may share your personal information with third parties (including our service providers and government entities) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud or security or technical issues.

Payment information

When you make a purchase on the Services, any credit card information you provide as part of your Payment Information is processed and collected directly by our payment processor Stripe through their Stripe Checkout service. We never receive or store your full credit or debit card information. Stripe commits to complying with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and using industry standard security. Stripe may use your Payment Information in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.

Our cookie policy

Our Services uses cookies. We use both session-based and persistent cookies.

Cookies are small text files sent by our Services to your computer and from your computer to our Services each time you visit our Services. They are unique to your account or your browser.

Your data rights and choices

We believe that users should be treated equally no matter where they are, and so we are making the following options to control your data available to all users, regardless of their location.

Dreamaker will retain a backup copy of the content and communications that have been sent using the Service, the identities of the sender(s) and the recipient(s) of such contents and communications and any other information which Dreamaker is required to retain by law or legitimate business purpose.

  • Update your information You can update certain information by accessing your profile via the “Account” of Services.
  • Access your information In addition to the functionality available through the “Account” of the Services.
  • Delete your information If you would like to completely delete your account and Personal Information, please contact us at support@dreamaker.io.

Data retention

We generally retain Personal Information for so long as it may be relevant to the purposes identified herein.

Where information is processed

Dreamaker is based in the United States. No matter where you are located, you consent to the processing and transferring of your information in and to the U.S. and other countries.

Security

Dreamaker takes security seriously. We take various steps to protect information you provide to us from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure.

Public forums

Dreamaker may provide its users with chat rooms, forums, message boards and/or news groups. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

Children’s privacy

Dreamaker understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy in the interactive, online world. Dreamaker does not intentionally target or solicit to children thirteen (13) or younger for purposes of collecting personal information.
